Output Power up to 33 Watt
This covers all international on-board supply voltages for rail vehicles (24 V, 36 V, 72 V and 110 V) including the tolerance range of +/- 40 % required by EN 50155 in a single device. Autronic solves this challenge with the concept of a two-stage converter and thus achieves a high degree of efficiency in the combination of booster and single-ended forward converter at the optimized operating point.
EN 50155 regarding temperature, shock, vibration and other listed requirements as well as EMC according to EN 50121-3-2 are fulfilled. Furthermore, the new converters fulfill the temperature class OT4 ST1 (-40 °C to +85 °C) and have a hold up time of 10 ms (class S2).
The open, dip-coated assemblies (100 mm x 120 mm x 28 mm) are ideally suited for wall mounting. The heat can be dissipated directly to a housing via the cooling plate.
The converters have overvoltage and overtemperature protection as well as active reverse polarity protection with inrush current limitation. They are open-circuit proof, permanently short-circuit proof and can be switched off externally (primary and secondary). Options such as thermal warning or input power fail can be easily implemented with the microcontroller.
A dual version with 5 V and 12 V output voltage is currently available. Power sharing allows the total power to be distributed flexibly between the two outputs.
